Chronic Infectious Prostatitis
With My Story and Your Own Understanding of Your Condition, You have a Real Chance for a Diagnosis and Effective Treatment
After years of terrible pain and other often unbearable Prostatitis symptoms, I found a medical solution.
The path was a complex maze, at times I despaired I'd ever find the exit. The endless number of Doctors I saw in general had no experience or understanding of the subject and some were quite dismissive. Even the most patient Doctors generally shrugged their shoulders and said "sorry, there's nothing we can do"..
Slowly I pieced the puzzle together and after my condition was resolved, with several fellow-volunteers, we started this website and in the 6 years since, we've received thousands of emails describing a myriad of variations of the same terrible experience I'd been through. After 6 years of publishing information, we've been able to consolidate our Prostatitis treatment experience into detailed information to direct people to Doctors qualified and experienced and find a Diagnosis and get Effective Treatment.
So read our story and learn how we found a solution for bacterial Prostatitis.
(remember, there's no one treatment type that fits all; going to an Injections Clinic can potentially make your condition worse, let alone the unnecessary waste of a your savings)
UPDATE: October 2023
BREAKING NEWS: A NEW PROSTATE INJECTIONS CLINIC ACCEPTING INTERNATIONAL PATIENTS HAS JUST OPENED. Read more here..
UPDATE: June 2019, we have been getting more emails than ever from chronic infectious prostatitis people and there's a consistent theme to most of them:
1/ The writer has already rushed off, often with all their savings and more, to a medical treatment Clinic, with little to no idea of their proven pathogens and sensitivities, the medical Clinic is always a "guess" of desperation, and as you can also "guess", their money's all gone, treatment was a predictable failure, and they are now a far more difficult medical case to successfully treat for the future; mostly due to increased resistance from inappropriate drug treatment.
2/ Or the writer is demanding to know which medical clinic we went to, as if that information will solve all their infectious problems. Every person's pathogens are different, both strain and resistance-wise, so just because someone got cured at one particular medical clinic has absolutely no guarantee that anyone else will be too.
There is a medical treatment plan path to follow, and if you don't follow it very closely, you will be extending your journey, let alone that a permanent resolution of symptoms has become much more difficult because of a dramatic rise in drug resistance among patients.
Prostatitis must take the prize for being the most misunderstood condition in medical science. The simple fact is that medical science/the medical system is not developing protocols for the handling and treatment of the condition. It went into the "too hard" box a long time ago, and there has been no concerted action by medicine or patients since to get initiatives underway to change this.
No matter what label your medical professional uses (non-bacterial, CPPS etc), there's only one real acid test. IF you can remember an infectious event at the start of your troubles (pain in the bladder, burning in the urethra, frequency (many trip to the bathroom), urgency (having to run to the bathroom) ) then you've got the source of your problems.
I believe the vast majority of prostatitis cases have an original infectious cause, which is then mishandled into a chronic condition which spreads, causing increasingly diverse symptoms and becomes extremely hard to isolate in tests. From that point on, it gets misdiagnosed in every which way guaranteeing it will be very UNLIKELY to ever be correctly diagnosed and treated.
Why Going to a Urologist is Often Just Not Enough.. As said above, there is nothing, literally, a Urologist can do, if they're using age-old outdated testing procedures, because you're highly unlikely to ever get a positive result for a test. Without that "proof", you are simply "incurable". Worse, in an effort to help, some Doctors/Urologist fall back on medicines and surgical procedures which are counter-productive for infections; either producing no benefit or making your troubles worse. (TURPS, alpha-blockers, amongst other things).
Urologists make their money from surgeries for prostate cancer and BPHBenign Prostatic Hyperplasia, period. A Prostatitis patient is a distraction for them and provides little income without an operation. Of course there are caring Urologists, the thing is to be able to find one.
In the end the simple truth is that the medical industry often causes more harm than good when it comes to Infectious Prostatitis. Using guesswork antibiotic prescriptions (no prior essential tests done to establish sensitivity of drugs to pathogen) sets the stage for chronic hard-to-isolate bacterial conditions, acquiring resistance with every drug course, and ensuring the outdated (non-DNA) tests of the day will never reveal the truth.
If you REMEMBER experiencing an Infectious condition at the start of your problems (for some, they'll have to look back some way, but the experience will be unforgettable - bladder pain, urethral burning, urinary frequency and urgency), then the information you will read here is GOLD. The vast majority of Prostatitis cases started with an infectious event which then became chronic, terrorizing the sufferer and failing to show up on simplistic tests.
There is no "test" for "CPPS" prostatitisChronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome is a pelvic pain condition in men, and should be distinguished from other forms of prostatitis such as chronic bacterial prostatitis and acute bacterial prostatitis, so in fact, a diagnosis of CPPS is nothing more than an opinion, it cannot be taken as a provable fact.
Don't be labelled in a dead-end diagnosis by Doctors who have no desire to be persistent and proactive in helping their patient, however if there was no original infectious event, your main benefit here is to look for a reduction in your Prostatitis symptoms and my personal tips in lifestyle changes that I made which helped my Prostatitis symptoms.
Watch my Video here or at YouTube.. This video was made several years ago when my cure experience was fresher, but before the thousands of emails from desperate Prostatitis sufferers which refined and simplified the process I had found and used. I now would make the video a little differently but the basic message remains; Our medical system offers no solutions and we have to take charge of the process ourselves, manage and demand our cure ourselves.
My Story of Prostatitis; Years of Hopelessness and an Eventual Cure
My story started, in the same way as many have written to me, with an infection acquired from a girlfriend who in this case knew she was infected, but had done nothing about it (that's another story). At this point you may have mild symptoms or more dramatic depending on the actual pathogen, and how much time has passed before you sought help. I was not quick enough..
And right here is where the second error occurred, first was my fault, the second was the Doctor who didn't try to even swab the urethra so he could be sure the bacteria was going to be killed by the prescribed antibiotic.. In short, the prescription was a guess, and it didn't work. By the time the course was finished, symptoms were back quickly but now it had become very hard to test for.. I was at a new doctor by now and he admitted he was disappointed the first Doctor didn't do what he said should be mandatory..
So from that point on it was never-ending hell, antibiotics and within days to a couple of months all symptoms would be back; I went through all the mainstream antibiotics and in the end had to keep taking ciproxin between re-infections. So many antibiotics exposes the body to extreme drug damage especially the fluoro-quinolones. Many essential microbes needed for the gut, other internal organs and the brain, to function properly will be killed off, let alone the problem of the primary infection becoming more and more resistant to any medication. As time went by, the many antibiotics put me at risk of more easily contracting other infections, a dramatic affect on gut health and general body weight and the probably worst of all; there is a rapidly increasing understanding of the link between gut health (microbiome) and depression; such is what happens with long-term immune system damage from medical industry antibiotic abuse.
It became so frustrating to be having so much pain and disruption to my life when a Doctor would only want to do a simple short-term urine culture which by then would never give a positive result, and then be told there's no problem, or that nothing can be done. Interestingly, I got so frustrated with this, that at one point I sent prostatic fluid and urine as samples, privately, overseas, to a well-known European laboratory. Using their standard test regime they easily identified (confirmed) the pathogen cultured so long ago by my second Doctor; yet would never show in our testing system. Although this was a mini-breakthrough, it wasn't for my Doctors, they refused to recognize non-US tests.
Eventually, I worked out, on my own accord, that the only way I'd get cured would be to inject the prostate and some surrounding structures with correct antibiotics. I'd never even heard of injection clinics, it just finally occurred to me that this would be the only way. I was being constantly being re-infected from somewhere where antibiotics could not reach and that was recognized by only a few of my urologists as being the prostate.
I researched injection clinics like crazy, I spent several hundred hours on the internet looking at not just the USA, but every country, researching and cross-checking everything I found. I emailed hundreds of people, institutions and medical practices. Most didn't reply or were plain unhelpful. A number of medically-related people said things that were ridiculous, and by now I had started to recognize this.
Eventually I decided on an injections clinic as a result of my very intensive efforts; I was leaving nothing I could control (choice) to chance.. and it worked.
Obviously I'm missing out a lot of detail in the story above, but I've mentioned the absolutely necessary things:
- Doctors with no specific experience - if your Doctor didn't at least try a urethral swab when you first went to see them, then they did you a very big injustice. It is ESSENTIAL not to take antibiotics unless they've shown in a laboratory that the intended treatment antibiotic will kill the pathogen (show sensitivity)
- Once some time has gone past, made worse by more and more antibiotics, TESTS will almost always be negative (read about bacterial slime and biofilms for a start). As soon as you start getting these negative test results YOU WILL likely be "diagnosed" as having non-bacterial prostatitis or CPPS.
- From now on you are in big trouble, negative test results, dead-end diagnoses, useless antibiotics and a never-ending circle of pain and misery.
- It is highly unlikely (in the USA) that any Doctor/Urologist etc., will suggest direct injections or do anything different than give you large inappropriate amounts of antibiotics.
- Your solution (prostatitis cure) will be up to you to make happen, and in a sea of pain and general misery, only you can get yourself together to make this happen. However, for many who have been so misread, mis-diagnosed, mis-categorized mis-everything, THEY will often be so confused as to exactly what their problems are, they can be forgiven for going round in big circles, truly believing there is no cure/will never be cured.
Things I learned from the thousands of people who have written to me is that most people have been convinced by Doctors and negative tests, that infection is not their problem. However, specifically prod the writer as to whether they can remember an original infectious event (bladder pain, urethral burning, urinary frequency and urgency) at the start of all their problems and 99+% are absolutely sure they did. The message has just got confused and diluted by the passage of time.
The next thing I learned was that few prostatitis sufferers understood much about medical terminology, anatomy and the deleterious effect of long-term use of drugs and the enduring ability of bacterial and fungal diseases to colonize and survive in the human body.
Lastly, many have never heard of, or been advised by their Doctors of the latest cutting-edge laboratory testing that has the ability to discover pathogens that the normal run-of-the-mill tests cannot. A successful test result is the first step towards treatment and a prostatitis cure.
Prostatitis with everything done right, can be a long journey but.. when things are not done right, it feels like a cure will be impossible. Beware of the promises and statements that sound too good to be true; If you could get on a plane and go to one place that magically cures all forms of Prostatitis doesn't that sound a little too easy? You bet it does.. and there are many who can relate their disastrous stories of not just loss of money but also a worsened health situation.

This is my old page which is now outdated by the information above, but still helpful reading..
I am a former Prostatitis sufferer and this is my story of a Prostatitis Treatment and Cure. By writing here about everything I learned dealing with Prostatitis, I hope to help the literally millions of other men (and women with PID) around the world who are faced with this condition that is so difficult to cure, so neglected by our medical system, and such a destructive force in so many lives (family as well as the sufferer themself).
The first thing you should do.. is watch my story in the video above..
For many guys, Prostatitis has become a "condition of confusion". They have almost invariably been told vastly different things by different Doctors, to the point that they don't know what's real any more. I managed to get past that and get cured, but I will never forget the careless way I was treated by the majority of Doctors I saw.
If you've tried everything, been to numerous Doctors and feel absolutely trapped in a cycle of pain and misery, I've been there and I can help you get out of it.
You can then read my reviews of the best Prostatitis Treatment Clinics around the world and seek my help.
So use the "Contact Me" link in the right-hand menu..
Remember, Prostatitis can be beaten..
The reality is that we have a busted medical system, the absolute best example of that is Men and Prostatitis.
There's basically two choices:
1/ Put up with what's happening to you, but be warned, Prostatitis is very unlikely to go away, it is far far more likely to worsen as each year goes past and you'll have it your entire life - is this really how you want to spend the rest of your life? Of course not!
2/ Pick up the fight again; this is your survival, don't take no for an answer, and contact me so I can show you what to ask for, what course of action to follow.
Men as a group are notorious for putting up with an illness and not complaining.
START fighting, and I'll help you, Sean
If you have managed to gain a definite lessening of symptoms, please share it with visitors in the comments section at the end of this page.

Because of this website, I've received hundreds [update: thousands] of emails from guys with Prostatitis. There are a number of things that are a common component of these emails:
- Many, many patients have been given a diagnosis of "non-bacterial prostatitis". Yet when they describe their symptoms, about 80% describe urethral burning, urgency and bladder pain at the beginning of their symptoms and reoccurring at regular intervals depending on the medications they're given. Those symptoms are typical of the effects of an infection.
- About 40% can remember an original infectious event at the start of their symptoms where they went to a Doctor who never tried to isolate a pathogen. That is, no urinalysis or a culture of prostatic fluid was attempted and they were handed an Rx for a broad-spectrum antibiotic. That visit to their Doctor was their best chance to find out exactly what was causing their symptoms, as from that point on, their condition became masked by repeated antibiotics and moved to a chronic status where finding a culprit typically becomes very difficult.
- Many guys have been to a LOT of different urologists, yet have very little idea of the physiology of the male genitourinary system, and have little to nothing explained to them by their medical professionals of the dynamics at play with their illness..
- Almost EVERYONE at some stage has been told by at least one medical professional that there is nothing that can be done for them and that they'll just have to live with the condition.
I can get you past all these things.
*** THE BACTERIAL - NON-BACTERIAL Conundrum ***
It seems like where-ever you go everyone takes a unmovable position (incl. me!) on the infection/non-infection Prostatitis Issue
- Medical websites
- Medical Institutions - John Hopkins, Mayo etc..
- Treatment Clinics with a vested interest to protect
- Affiliate sellers of prostatitis treatment products who copy content from any website no matter what it is.
Here's my personal experience:
The problem is that there's no definitive test for non-bacterial prostatitis - there's the whole issue in a nutshell.
- If a Doctor isn't thorough in carrying out EPS and semen tests, and there's no results, there's a big chance you're going to get the "non-bacterial" diagnosis.
- If a Doctor, on your first visit, with infection-related symptoms (pain, burning, urgency), doesn't do an EPS and throws an Rx (script) at you for a (guesswork) broad-spectrum antibiotic, and it doesn't kill what's there, then it becomes a chronic condition. When an infection becomes chronic it usually becomes extremely hard to detect.. and.. after this, there's a big chance you're going to get the "non-bacterial" diagnosis.
At this point you may have bacterial prostatitis, you may have non-bacterial prostatitis, but you're in no man's land. What then tends to happen, is you swing back and forth between the two diagnoses, depending on who you see. And even if a bright-spark, persistent Doctor manages to isolate a pathogen, there's no way our system can kill an infection which is now in the prostate.
In the Prostatitis treatment Clinics review section, both Dr Toth in New York and the Chinese Clinic state that many of the patients they've gone on to cure after locating pathogen(s) had come for treatment citing definitive diagnoses of non-bacterial prostatitis. These patients had gone for direct injection treatment either because they saw the futility of a diagnosis which can't be proved, or wanted to try every treatment option available to them.

On this site, I will give you information to manage your own Cure:
- A better understanding of your infection-based condition
- Immediate ways to lessen the symptoms
- REVIEW Specialist Treatment Clinics who treat the infection(s), and so cure Prostatitis and PID
By following my treatment recommendations, you have an excellent opportunity to fully recover from Prostatitis or PID. This site is a place of last resort for many people who have exhausted their medical options in their country's medical system.
Curing Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (and possibly Infertility):
Seeking a cure for Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) is similar to Prostatitis, the effects of PID can be very debilitating and as difficult to isolate causes. Pelvic pain in women and the treatment of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is curable. You can read about the treatment of PID inside this site and again see and make contact with the best people for effecting a cure.
Genitourinary Disease in General:
A significant proportion of infertility problems are related to genitourinary infections, and those situations can often be diagnosed as Prostatitis and/or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. As explained above, these infections have typically become long-standing, chronic infections which are difficult to diagnose, isolate and therefore treat. In the case of Prostatitis-type conditions for a male, there are usually significant symptoms, however it can be common for a female to have few symptoms or even none, perplexing the inability to conceive.
For the majority of genitourinary infections, once course(s) of oral antibiotics have been exhausted, and the infection(s) have settled into a chronic stage, a lower quality of life ensues for the patient, including the often side effect of infertility, an ongoing expensive process, often stretching into years.
If you feel abandoned by the medical system in your country, read extensively on this site, take advantage of the specialist knowledge and use the contact forms for no obligation treatment options for your condition.
We are specialists in the treatment and cure of Infertility, PID and Prostatitis caused by damage from past and/or current genitourinary infection(s), which have often failed to have been diagnosed.
You can read more about infertility causes and symptoms here.
The case of the vanishing art of Doctors performing prostate massage to produce prostatic fluid for a laboratory test:
It's important that you know where things lie, in the male genitourinary system, it's well-worth watching this video below closely. Pay particular attention to where the prostate is.. and you'll know more than many Doctors. Further, try asking them for that very necessary EPS (prostatic fluid) sample for THE test that could reveal what's wrong with you, and just watch their protestations; "you don't need that", "we don't do that any more", "I have no idea of how to do that".. Only a decade ago, near every Doctor could do that, now, it's almost gone!
